Hull Interest and Freight Interest In addition to the Hull & Machinery cover the ship owner can further protect his investments in the vessel by taking out additional insurance against the event of a total loss. Loss of Hire This insurance covers loss of earnings/charter hire in case of a claim recoverable under Hull & Machinery insurance. The ship owner may want to protect his income and cash flow in the event of a casualty. All products can be written on a stand-alone basis if necessary.
